Engagement Session at The Biltmore Estate | Asheville, NC

As a Raleigh-based photographer, I’m always open to travel—but few places make my heart leap quite like The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. Maybe I’m a little biased (okay, definitely biased) since I got engaged in the Arboretum there in late August of 2024. But honestly, once you step foot on the grounds, it’s easy to see why I hold it so close to my heart.

So when Jordan and Andrew reached out and told me they were willing to drive up from Georgia for their engagement session at The Biltmore, I was immediately SO excited! A timeless, classy couple at one of the most breathtaking venues in the South? Yes, please.

A Walk Through The Estate

We began their session on the front lawn, with the iconic Biltmore House standing majestically in the background. This location always gives that fairytale feel—like stepping into a European countryside moment without leaving the U.S.

From there, we wandered up the stairs to the left side of the estate. The overlook up there offers a quiet view of the surrounding land, which felt like the perfect intimate moment to capture their connection.

Next, we made our way through one of my favorite spots—the lush tunnel of greenery that leads to the Arboretum. Being back there where I got engaged was so special. There's something magical about that space; it's romantic, peaceful, and full of life.

A Quick Change at The Biltmore Inn

To wrap up our time, we headed toward the entrance of the grounds and over to The Biltmore Inn. Out back is a charming grassy area that honestly looks straight out of a picnic scene in a romance novel. Jordan slipped into a second, stunning dress, and we captured the soft golden light filtering through the trees as the day wound down.

Counting Down to the Big Day

After over a year and a half of being booked, we’re now just a few months away from Jordan and Andrew’s wedding day—and I’m beyond ready! These two are genuine, hardworking, and bring such great energy to everything they do. If their engagement session is any sign of what’s to come, their wedding is going to be one for the books.

Stay tuned—this is a love story you won’t want to miss.
